Malaria, an infectious disease caused by protozoan parasites. This disease has been spreading through out the world, and in many cases, spreading through schools. Each year, there are around 515 million people around the world who are infected with this disease, killing about one to three million who have it. That might seem very low percent chance that if you have it youll die, but its still over a million in death count per year, which is something that, if you have malaria, you shuold be concerned about, and get it treated right away if possible.
There are many symptoms to malaria, such as fever, shivering, vomiting, convulsions, joint pain, and more. There are different stages of malaria, such as P. Falciparum, which requires instant hospitalization. This is the worst case scenario for Malaria. The other three types, arent really a big, big concern, and can be treated outside of hosiptals, and if treated right, the patient can make a completel recovery.
My thoughts on malaria is that its a disease thats become widely known. 515 million people a year are infected with it, and that is a pretty big number. We have treatments for it, so if people are diagnoised with it, they shuold be fine, unless its the most dangerous one, which should be taken care of right away.
Treatments seem to be helping many with the disease, since the kill percent is very low. But its still something people need to be aware of. With the increasing knowledge of diseases and many other life dangering things, things could start to get bright, and many people with illnesses might still be able to live a long, healthly life.
